What are the roles of the tour guides? Are they always with us?

Each adventure group is assigned one tour guide 24/7 – contact by phone for emergencies and questions.  The daily tours, excursions and dinner maintain a ratio of 1:10 for your safety and convenience.  All guides are local and have all the information you need about where to go, eat, shop or dance.  

Can you help us promote?

Happily! Our outreach and marketing team will supply materials, online resources and offer a zoom meeting with potential students and parents to discuss trip details and concerns. 

Are flights included?

No. GEN Adventures do not provide international flights, we recommend using your local travel agent. 

IS the food really that spicey? What if I don't like spice?

Breakfast and lunch are included in the purchase and some dinners.  We can accommodate any food restriction or preference.  Please advise your group leader before we depart and we will make sure your meal choices are honored.  And yes, the food is super spicy, but Mexico City has adopted a mostly choose your own spice level approach and you choose hot or no sauce 🙂 

What is GEN Adventure’s cancellation policy?

Each trip had a different cancellation policy and all of this information will be sent before confirmation. We make all possible efforts to be accommodating and flexible, specifically within 60 days prior to departure. 

How do we get started?

A GEN Adventure is confirmed with a non-refundable group deposit of 30%.  The final balance payment is then payable at least 7 weeks prior to arrival.

What should I know about Mexico City?

Can we modify and add or change the trip itineraries?

Yes, absolutely! Our tours are designed to be flexible to your group interests. Whether you want to explore iconic landmarks, delve into local culture, or simply relax and unwind, we can tailor the itinerary to suit your needs. Similarly, our hotel and restaurant choices are adaptable, ensuring that you have the best possible experience during your stay in Mexico City. We prioritize your satisfaction and are committed to providing you with a personalized and unforgettable journey.

Do you offer free group leader opportunities ?

Yes. We offer 1 free teacher or group leader space for every 10th student enrolled and offer discounts for other adult leaders.  

How does it work ?

We will send you a form to fill out with dates, destinations and any specific details you require.  Then a phone call is scheduled and we review the details and make an offer based on your needs and budget. 

What are the minimum and maximum number of people on a GEN tour?

We ask for a minimum of 11 people (including the one complimentary leader) and we can handle up to 50 people currently. 

How does the airport pick up work?

We will be waiting for you outside of immigration with signs welcoming you to Mexico City.  The air conditioned coach will take you to the hotel and assist with luggage.  We are flexible with your flight landing and no worries if you are delayed, we will be there!
